C-reative protein....again

C-reactive protein (CRP) is a marker of inflammation and predicts outcome in apparently healthy subjects and patients with coronary artery disease.

A new study indicates CRP levels are higher in patients with degenerative aortic stenosis (AS) who show rapid valve disease progression. These findings suggest that inflammation may have a pathogenic role in degenerative AS.

With the aging population the incidence of calcific aortic valve disease is further increasing.

Avoid inflammation.
